Leonard Makowka was Chairman
of the Department of Surgery and Director of Transplantation
Services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. One of
America's most eminent liver experts, he has authored or
co-authored more than 350 medical journal articles, is a guest
lecturer at medical schools throughout the world, and a member of
many professional societies. Dr. Makowka was a founding
partner of After Midnight Entertainment, Inc., a syndicated radio
company sold to Premiere Radio Networks in 1997, and purchased
shortly thereafter by Jacor/Clear Channel. He is also the founder
and Chairman of Drive Thru Technology, a national provider of
wireless and surveillance equipment for the food and restaurant
industry, and Managing Director of ITF Global Partners, a capital
investment company that works with early-stage to middle market
companies.
